Thanksgiving Outfit

I loved making Liv a Thanksgiving outfit this year. It was super fun and EASY! I did a tiered ruffle skirt then bought a plain white long sleeved shirt to applique the turkeys. I think that this is going to be a new tradition because Liv looked so adorable! (Although, next year she will only have one turkey!) I made up the pattern for the turkeys, then embroidered "Livie" and "Baby" under each turkey. Then I needed to make Liv's turkey a little more girly, so I used 1/8" red ribbon, tied a bow and sewed it on the turkey's head. I thought about adding googly eyes, but I am glad this year I didn't; the shirt was busy enough. If you would like a pattern of the turkeys, leave me your email!

Quiet Book: Part 1

Here are the pages I have been working on lately...Rocket: The little green alien is velcro'd and the rocket slides between the two planets.
Apple Tree: Apples are snapped on and can be removed to place in the basket.
Mrs. Potato Head
Mr. Potato Head (same page)
Mailbox: Holds pad of paper, envelopes, two pencils and stamps (or in Livie's case, stickers)

Quiet Book Beginnings

I have been wanting to make a quiet book for a long time now. Finally starting! Yeah!! Here is a picture of the start of the first page. Can't wait til it is all done and Livie can play with it. I hope that this will mean that my munchkin will be the quietest kid in sacrament meeting!

This is an elephant that when you pull his tail, he will eat peanuts through his trunk.

Zipper Flowers

(Sorry for the bad photo)
I love how cute these zipper flowers are! And so fun to put on just about everything! Headbands, clippies, beanies, purses, shoes, shirts... The sky's the limits!

Flower Clippies

Just a glimpse at some of the hair clips I've been making for Livie and for a ward auction.

Dress Tutu

I love blues and greens on my little redhead! It really brings out her baby blues, too!
I did find another way to do the straps that would make it thick tank rather than a haulter top, would love to try it out (hint, hint!) but don't really need another one for Liv.
I know that it has been FOREVER, but I really do have a good excuse. My house has been a disaster since the middle of January. But today is the end. All the repairs are finally done from the mold remediation! Yea!! Hopefully I will be able to do more crafts!

Valentine's Day Skirt

I made this skirt for Olivia to wear to church on Valentine's Day. I modified it a little to add the second fabric. The pattern was found online (I'll insert it here when I find it again!) and was super easy to make. I did line the skirt, but I would have done it differently now that one is complete. Next skirt, I am planning on adding more accessories; sash, pockets, buttons, ribbon, etc. to jazz it up a bit. Wish the model would have been more cooperative!
